Greek Food Festival Corpus Christi

I’m baaaaaack! Did you miss me? What Halloween spookies or Dia de los Muertos festivities did you get into? Now that we’re launching headlong into fall, and the weather’s cooling down, there’s a ton of activities popping up around the Coastal Bend for your enjoyment. Take a look at some of the mischief you can get into this weekend:

Friday, 5-10 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church

Opa! Embrace culture right on the bay at our very own big, fat Greek food festival. This  annual, and delicious, fest is a mainstay at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, located in downtown Corpus Christi. Pick up a plate full of your favorite Greek dishes, like spanakopita, dolmas and baklava, wash it down with some Greek beer, and stay for some dancing, live music and a church tour.

Friday, 5 p.m.

It’s First Friday! Take advantage of the cooler weather and head downtown for your fill of music, local vendors, food and fun, with block parties on nearly every corner. With outdoor stages, downtown music venues, pop-up vendors, and your favorite food trucks, you’ll be sure to fall into November in style. Don’t miss the official lighting of the Port Holiday Tree at La Retama Park at 7 p.m., where you can grab a selfie with Santa and jam out with 18 Hours. Roll over to the Annex for a Classic Car Coastal Cruise-In

Friday, 5 p.m.
The Art Center of Corpus Christi

Stop by the Art Center of Corpus Christi during ArtWalk to catch their November exhibit opening. This month’s exhibits include All Things Texas, juried by Noe Perez; Coastal Impressions: Paintings by Noe Perez; and the 11th annual Alzheimer’s Memories on Canvas & A Caretaker’s Love.

Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Art Museum of South Texas

First Friday also means free admission all day to the Art Museum, presented by Frost Bank! Grab the whole family to take in the rotating exhibits on display. With extended hours, there’s no excuse not to embrace your inner Warhol or Picasso and find your way to the AMST. Bonus: hit the AMST outreach table at Art Walk for giveaways and art activities. (I mean, who doesn’t love free things?!)

Every Friday, 6:30 p.m.
Nueces Brewing Company

Are you feeling a little downward dog? Eclipse season got your chakras all out of alignment? Do you feel a little more limber with some liquid help? This donation-based class is held weekly in the brew room of Nueces Brewing. Grab a cold one for some hot yoga, and we promise you, you’ll feel like a happy baby in no time.
