Do our designs look a little familiar? We reclaimed a piece of our identity by recreating some iconic landmarks. These places held a special something for us and we wanted to bring back some of that history, no matter how scandalous it is. Let’s have a look at the designs and where they came from.

T-45 GOSHAWK

This is the McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk that was displayed down Shoreline. It has since been taken over by what seems to be a homage art display that references the aircraft’s that used to sit there. Along side of the T-45 was a Huey but after you’ve taken several rides in one they don’t seem as cool as the T-45.

Thunderbird

I wasn’t even around to drive in to this drive-in theater, but that’s one cool logo. I feel this logo really represents our culture and city. It’s colorful, vibrant, and just needed a little love before being shown off again.

ANGELOS

This little shack is where I found one of my first loves, not just the pizza burger, but Angelo’s pizza burger. This greasy hot mess may of taken a year or two off my life but I would gladly kill my best friend for one more hit (sorry James).

The DESTROYER

Yeah, we saw all you cooool kids sitting in the smoking section of Elva’s ordering two Destroyers. I don’t know how well the Destroyer would hold up now but if you had one, you still talk about this taco like we should give it sainthood.

Legs

Ever wonder why your mom started acting awkward for a good minute while driving down SPID, it was because she was hoping you wouldn’t see that beautiful 50ft stripper calling to you. It never worked, she was impossible to miss. Yeah Selena is great and all, but now it’s time to give this classy lady some love.
